A quiet-luxury web presence for a design-and-build atelier in Lake Forest, Illinois. Hand-coded from the first line, paced like the homes it presents: unhurried, precise, and warm.
L'Atelier Elena designs and builds high-end private residences, carrying each project from the first pencil line to the last set stone. Their positioning line says it all: homes that are authored, not assembled. The website had to hold that same standard. No template, no page-builder shortcuts, nothing assembled.
What we built
Hand-coded, story-paced site. A single narrative that unfolds as you scroll: the signature residence, capabilities, method, and founder, staged in sequence rather than stacked in sections.
Quiet-luxury art direction. Warm neutrals, refined serif typography, and generous space that lets dusk photography and hand-drawn plans do the talking.
The four-step method, on screen. Listen, Draw, Build, Finish presented the way the studio actually works, so the site reads as an extension of the practice.
Photography-led storytelling. Interior details, brass and marble textures, and the glow of Residence 854 at dusk carry the emotional weight.
Why it works
Buyers commissioning a custom home are making a perception decision long before a contract. The site gives them 90 seconds of the atelier's world: patient, exact, and personal. It is the pitch the studio would make in a first meeting, playing on every screen.
