How much does a website actually cost in the GCC and Jordan?

It is the first question every client asks and the one agencies answer most vaguely. Here is the straight version, based on projects we scope every month across Amman, Doha, Dubai, and Riyadh.

The short answer

TierTypical range (USD)What you get
Template build$500 to $2,000A themed WordPress or Wix site. Fast and cheap, looks like everyone else's.
Custom design$3,000 to $8,000Original design on a solid platform, proper SEO foundation, mobile-first.
Custom cinematic build$8,000 to $25,000Scroll-driven motion, 3D, custom development (React or Next.js), conversion strategy.
Platform or e-commerce$15,000+Custom functionality, payments, multilingual content, integrations.

What actually drives the price

Four things move a quote more than anything else: the number of unique page designs, custom development versus a theme, bilingual Arabic and English content, and integrations (payments, booking, CRM). A ten-page bilingual site with WhatsApp lead routing is a different project from a five-page English brochure, even if both are called "a website."

Why GCC pricing differs from US pricing

US agencies quote $20k to $100k for work that a senior regional studio delivers at a third of that. The gap is overhead, not craft. What matters is not where the studio sits but whether it has shipped work at the level you need. Review live projects, not slide decks.

Watch for the cheap-site trap: a $700 site that generates zero enquiries costs more than a $7,000 site that generates ten a month. Price the outcome, not the artifact.

Budgeting advice we give clients

  • Allocate roughly 10 to 15 percent of the first-year marketing budget to the site. It is the asset everything else points at.
  • Insist on a fixed-scope quote after a discovery call. Hourly billing on websites rewards slowness.
  • Reserve budget for what happens after launch: content, SEO, and iteration beat a bigger homepage animation every time.
  • If you need Arabic, say so up front. Retrofitting RTL onto a finished design costs more than designing bilingual from day one.

What we charge

Keyframe projects typically start around $5,000 for a focused custom site and scale with motion complexity and integrations. Every project is scoped fixed-price after a call.
